Choose "Jing Mei" as your school, even if your student is enrolled at a higher grade level.
Tell us your student's name and grade level.
If you do not have a student currently enrolled in the program, ask to be added as a "community member".

Join us on Facebook
Our BMDL PTSA private Facebook group is for families enrolled in the BSD Bellevue Mandarin Dual Language program. It’s intended to be a place where families can come together to socialize, share ideas and have discussions about topics related to their children attending these schools, like discussing extra-curricular activities, scheduling play dates, etc.
New members are required to answer a few questions to join.
This is not an official communication vehicle from the PTSA or the school. For official news and communication from the PTSA, the school, and our community, use Parent Square, the BMDL PTSA website, or the BSD school websites.

Full Group Information and Rules
Facebook limits the number of characters we can use on their site to describe our group. We want to be as specific as possible when sharing rules with our community, and so have posted them here for members to view in full.
Our admins are parent volunteers and work together to moderate the group. If additional guidance is necessary, they may consult with the BMDL PTSA Board of Directors.
Rules
Be Kind and Courteous: We aim to create a welcoming environment in our school community, setting a great example for our children. Be kind, courteous and respectful in this group!
Content Should Further Build & Unite Our Community: Posts should not be unproductive or divisive nor contrary to any of these rules. It’s ok to have a different opinion and we encourage challenging topics that are thoughtful and related to our BMDL community. If a topic is legitimate, however you strongly disagree, we encourage you to respond politely and respectfully or simply ignore the post.
No Hate Speech or Bullying: Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. We expect everyone to follow Facebook’s “Community Standards” of Authenticity, Safety, and Privacy.
Respect Everyone's Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.
No Propagating of False or Misleading Information: The intentional spreading of false or misleading information is both harmful and counterproductive to our community. Intentional posting of this kind of information with potential to harm the community will result in a warning/removal.
No Medical Advice or Anti-Vaccination Sentiment Contrary to BSD: Do not look to the group for medical advice including diagnosis or treatment. Instead, go to your medical professional. Also, no posts contrary to BSD’s vaccination policy. The sharing of pediatric health professionals in the area is fine.
No Spam: Posts and discussions should be related to issues and topics related to the students in the BMDL program. Unrelated, off-topic, repetitive comments, political endorsements, fundraisers or advertisements/promotions are considered spam and will be warned/removed. Parent recommendations are certainly welcomed.
